STUDENT PRACTICAL LABORATORIES OF GRU

1. Topography Lab. / Labo de Topgraphie (D-103)

For the topography lab. the students will use the tools and equipment to:

  • Study of land surface shapes and features of an area, including:
  • Elevation
  • Relief (difference between high and low points)
  • Landforms (hills, valleys, mountains)

2. Soil Lab. / Labo d’Analyse des Sols (D-104)

  • Students learn to analyze soil physical and chemical properties for agriculture, construction, or environmental studies, supporting soil classification and land-use decisions.

3. Water Quality Lab. / Labo Qualité des Eaux (D-106)

  • Students learn to measure and analyze key water quality parameters to assess if water is safe for drinking, domestic use, agriculture, or ecological health.

4. Hydrology & Hydraulics Lab. / Labo d'Hydrologie & d'Hydraulique (D-107)

  • Students learn to measure and analyze hydrological parameters (rainfall, evaporation, infiltration, runoff, streamflow) for understanding water movement, storage, and distribution in the environment

5. Plumbing Lab. / Labo de plomberie (D-108)

  • Students learn to develop practical skills in installing, testing, and maintaining plumbing systems for water supply and drainage in buildings.
