The Faculty of Hydrology & Water Resources Engineering of the Institute of Technology of Cambodia – successfully organized an insightful seminar today, February 25, 2026, dedicated to encourage our students to continue higher degree and apply for the scholarship.
The event began with opening by Dr. CHHUON Kong, Dean of the Faculty. He addressede with strongly encouraged students to pursue higher degrees and emphasized the lifelong learning building international academic excellence for national impact and applying for scholarships, whether abroad or within prestigious local programs.
Following the opening, our distinguished speakers from lecturers and alumni shared invaluable strategies on application processes and experiences of academic life overseas:
1. Dr. SOK TY: Provided a comprehensive overview of general scholarship information and concluded the session with an update on various other scholarship opportunities including EU Global Gate Way scholarship, China, Japan, Australia…
2. Dr. Doung Ratha: Delivered a powerful motivational talk, sharing 4 keys insights to inspire students keep studying hard and apply for scholarship which is the best investment of life in academic journeys.
3. Mr. Por Y Chheng: Detailed the Integrated Master’s Degree program (ITC-HHU) specifically for GRU students.
4. Ms. Kaing Vinhteang: Shared expert advice and personal experiences regarding the prestigious MEXT Scholarship (Japanese Government) application through Embassy and University recommend.
5. Mr. Ly Veasna: Provided a deep dive into the application journey and student life under the CSC Scholarship (China Scholarship Council).
The seminar also highlighted the importance of global networking through the Integrated Master’s program between ITC and HHU. This program offers a unique bridge for students to gain international experience. Finally, the most inspiring part was hearing real stories from alumni. These seniors shared their personal challenges and successes, giving current students the confidence to pursue their own dreams of studying abroad.
