Project Summary:

  • Project Development Objective: To improve the quality, research, and governance of higher education mainly in STEM and agriculture at the targeted higher education institutions, and to provide immediate and effective response in case of an Eligible Crisis or Emergency.

Main Activities at ITC:

  • Improving quality and relevance of academic programs:
    • Modernize curriculum towards outcome-based education (OBE) to meet national standard and regional accreditation/recognition (15 engineering programs meet national standard, and 5 programs committed to obtain AUN-QA)
    • Upgrade and up-skilling faculty staffs to improve professional qualification and capacity to apply innovative pedagogy (apply project-based learning)
    • Enhance students’ 21st century skills
    • Establish/upgrade lab facilities to support PBL implementation
    • Construct complex building to enhance T&L and working environment; enhance multi-disciplinary collaboration between departments to improve innovation; enhance incubation program
    • Construct standardized library to improve access for student learning in both physical and online and to share resources to provincial universities
    • Enhance capacity of librarians and facility upgrading
  • Improving quality and relevance of research:
    • Conduct applied research toward technology transfer
    • Upgrading labs for standardization
  • Strengthening institutional governance:
    • Enhance governance systems for both physical and digital
    • Improving institutional arrangement and developing funding rule and performance-based system
    • Upskilling leadership and management team
    • Building university profile
    • Improve project management by strengthening project coordination and management
