Air Quality Monitoring Lab

Location: Building A, Room number: A413 and Rooftop

Description about lab: The SATREPS Air Laboratory operates under RIC management and establishes to enhance research field and educational capabilities in ambient air quality. This laboratory is equipped with advance technology and facilities, providing researchers and students access to various equipment, including Air Quality Monitoring System (AQMS), Semi-Nano OPC, Tape Filter Sampling and Monitoring, EM11000 OPC sensors, HV (PM2.5), LV sampling, and ANS (PM down to 0.1):

Photos about lab and main equipment:

AQMS: Monitors particulate matter (PM) concentration, gas concentrations, and meteorological conditions.

APDA: Measures PM ranging from 1 to 10 µm
APSA: Measures SO₂ concentration
APNA: Measures NO, NO₂, and NOₓ concentrations
APMA: Measures CO concentration
APOA: Measures O₃ concentration
Weather sensor: Measures precipitation, humidity, temperature, wind speed and direction, atmospheric pressure, and radiation.

Semi-Nano OPC: Used to measure the size distribution of PM down to 0.01 µm.

Tape Filter Sampling and Monitoring: Used for the hourly analysis of PM2.5 and PM₁₀ compounds.

EM11000 OPC: Monitors PM2.5 and PM₁₀ concentrations.

LV sampler: Uses a filter-based method to sample air quality at specific times and locations.

Filter sample: Used to analyze PM concentration by weighing, followed by further chemical analysis using IC, HPLC, and an OC analyzer.

HV (PM2.5): Uses a filter-based method to sample air quality at specific times and locations.

Filter sample: Used to analyze PM concentration by weighing, followed by further chemical analysis using IC, HPLC, and an OC analyzer.

ANS (PM down to 0.1): Uses a filter-based method to sample air quality at specific times and locations.

Filter sample (PM2.5): Used to analyze PM concentration by weighing, followed by further chemical analysis using IC, HPLC, and an OC analyzer.
