Phnom Penh, Cambodia, February 11–12, 2025 – The Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC), in collaboration with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), successfully organized a Training of Trainers (TOT) workshop on Low Carbon Buildings (LCB), reinforcing Cambodia’s capacity in sustainable construction and energy efficiency.
The TOT brought together specialists from various fields to become Master Trainers, equipping them with the expertise to train government officials, material manufacturing industry professionals, designers and architects, developers, contractors, building owners, energy auditors, ESCOS, and banks.
The program covered four key training modules:
(1) Energy Scenario & Building
(2) Energy Efficiency Fundamentals of Building Energy Efficiency
(3) Building Energy Management
(4) Financial Instruments & Market Mechanisms
This workshop was conducted as a hybrid event, allowing participants to join in-person at ITC or virtually for broader accessibility. The training featured interactive discussions, case studies tailored to Cambodia’s context, and hands-on exercises, with pre- and post-training evaluations ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
ITC, in collaboration with GGGI, remains at the forefront of low-carbon building expertise, driving Cambodia’s transition to a more sustainable and energy-efficient built environment.
